UK Status Resident. Widely distributed but local over much of the British Isles. Montgomeryshire Status Recorded from a single site in the west of the county at Commins Coch. Wingspan : M & F, 23-27mm. Confusion species None. |
Flight time & Voltinity
(Univoltine)  Habitat Wherever foodplant is found. Foodplant Yarrow and possibly tansy. Lifestage data Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva spins the central shoots together and feeds within. Later it bores into the stem and feeds there. Pupates on the underside of a leaf. |
